JapGaf is the name of pianist Morten Pedersen’s critically acclaimed double duo album from 2010.
In collaboration with bassist Tommy Andersson and percussionist Lisbeth he explores the duo format in free improvisations. A musical universe that is sometimes fragile, bare and lyrical and sometimes groovy with a fierceful drive.

Bio: Danish pianist & composer. Former student of piano players such as Carsten Dahl, Lars Jansson, Kasper Villaume a.o. Playing mostly in jazz settings.
Morten can be heard with bands like Maria Faust Group, Skylight Lounge, Nicolas Kock Kvartet and in his own trio The Mighty Mouse.
Morten has great experience in making crossover and creative workshops/ projects combining art and jazz.
Morten Pedersen’s playing is characterized by having a high level of energy and an uncompromising and highly personal approach to the music.
