Bio:
Danish pianist & composer. Former student of piano players such as Carsten Dahl, Lars Jansson, Kasper Villaume a.o. Playing mostly in jazz settings.

Morten can be heard with bands like Maria Faust Group, Skylight Lounge, Nicolas Kock Kvartet and in his own trio The Mighty Mouse.

Morten has great experience in making crossover and creative workshops/ projects combining art and jazz.

Morten Pedersen’s playing is characterized by having a high level of energy and an uncompromising and highly personal approach to the music.

Susanne Arnesen

Born 1982 in Fredrikstad, Norway 
Instrument: Piano, Vocal 
Based in Oslo, Norway

Bio:
Susanne is educated as a classical pianist. From a young age she has worked as a songwriter and conducter while studying music. Her interest in composing and arranging has always been very strong. When meeting the musicians from Trio Barefoot her inspiration flourished and she formed the band Synnjadrag, where Susanne is both the singer and songwriter.

Susanne now lives in Oslo where she works as conducter, freelance soloist and accompanist.

Adam Pultz Melbye

Born 1981 in Ribe, Denmark 
Instrument: Bass

Bio:
Adam’s bass playing can be heard in several projects spanning the Barefoot artists Trio CrEePy, The Mighty Mouse, Maria Faust Group and Melbye/Berre/Brötzmann as well as Jesper Zeuthen 3, Angel and in duo constellation with Swedish reed player Sture Ericson.

His playing is characterized by a sonic diversity that utilizes the many possible ways of making the double bass whisper and scream by using hands, bows, sticks, combs, brushes and whatnot. His tone is dark and percussive, favoring a setup that calls for a quite physical approach to playing.

Maria Faust

Born 1979 in Kuressaare, Estonia

Bio: 
Maria Faust is a saxophone player and composer, coming from the island of Saaremaa, Estonia. In 2002 she cut short her studies as a classical conductor at the Academy of Music in Tallinn to study jazz at the conservatory of music in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Maria Faust has been featured as a composer and player in Very Big Band, The European Broadcasting Union Bigband, Almost Arrangers and 4YP feat. Django Bates and has toured Denmark, Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Russia and China.

Ole Jonas Storli

Born 1980 in Overhalla, Norway

Bio:
Ole Jonas Storli moved to Denmark in 2001 and has since then been busy on the Danish and European music scene where he plays in almost every type of setting whether it is county, rock, free jazz, solo piano, or fusion.

Besides the piano Ole also plays Hammond organ, rhodes and different “analogue stuff”.

Also enjoying studio & sound engineering, Ole functions as sound engineer at Barefoot Records in his own studio.

Ole Jonas Storli is one of the co-founders of Barefoot Records.

Håkon Berre

Born 1980 in Namsos, Norway 
Instrument: Drums
Based in Copenhagen, DK

Bio:
Norwegian drummer and composer.

has established himself as one of the most interesting young drummers on the Danish scene for improvised music. Having expanded the drumset with a diversity of trash ranging from ringing bells, tin plates and chains, to pot lids, tea towels, forks and chopsticks, Håkon has made collaborations with artists such as Peter Brötzmann, Kasper Tranberg, Peter Friis-Nielsen, Niels Præstholm, Petter Wettre, Stephan Meinberg, John Tchicai and Sture Ericson.

Håkon is also working on incorporating realtime electronics into his playing. His inventive and energetic drumming has brought him to numerous clubs and festivals all around the world, and can be heard on a discography spanning 17 CD’s, many of them released on Barefoot Records, where Håkon is one of the co-founders.
