Jitter — Jitter
Jitter unites Danish and Swedish improv excellence into a trio of gentlemen with a less than gentle attitude towards the ethical treatment of instruments.
Recorded during a heatwave in June 2013 in Berlin where bass player Adam Pultz Melbye had to carve his way home, through the maddening crowd of a German Carnival, wielding his instrument as a monstrous, blunt axe to separate the inebriated party-goers, the debut album of Jitter is a chamber music work of scratching, honking and clonking which leaves little doubt as to the earnestness of the three musicians.
Individual members of Jitter have been spotted throughout the years in collaborations with many a famed musician, and the trio has composed and performed music to the movie Passager by a Swedish experimental filmmaker Claes Söderquist.
